Young Actor's Playhouse

Welcome to Young Actors Playhouse! We specialize in teaching our student’s performance skills for both stage and on-camera opportunities. Our dedicated team of experienced instructors work with the students to improve singing, acting, and dancing; making them triple threat performers. The cornerstone of our organization are the original musicals written by President and Artistic Director, Don Goodner. We believe that students can become better performers when given the chanc...e to play a part, rather than just a random villager, tree, or shrub in the background. Our team of writers, directors and vocal teachers ensure every child plays the part that best showcases their talenteven if that means writing in new characters and songs. Since Young Actor’s Playhouse began in 2011, we have developed programs for our summer camps, in-school drama programs, home-school drama programs, and on-camera programs for film and television.

Need a babysitter in the Kennesaw/Acworth/Powder Springs area??? Sydney has been working as a baby sitter for some of our students, and she has really enjoyed it! She's loves baby sitting for YAP Families most of all, and would love to help take great care of your kids. Sydney has been with us for almost 3 years now, and is one of our favorite students. She's 15 years old, and only a few months away from getting her driver's license! She attends the Cobb County Center for Excellence in Performing Arts Magnet School. She comes with glowing references from multiple parents and can spend the time singing songs from my plays with the kids or helping the kids do homework and chores. Students will star in our Short Horror Film "Mirror, Mirror" and learn behind the scenes techniques of film making!
