So grateful that we were able to get together and pack for the Operation Christmas Child Ministry. Thank you to all the youth for helping pack and folding boxes and to the Vienna Women’s Club for organizing and setting this event up for us. #G3Youth #VUMC #OperationChristmasChild2020

Calling all Youth!!! We will be packing Operation Christmas Child boxes this Wednesday night. We will meet in the Fellowship Hall at 6:30 PM for dinner and start packing at 7:00 PM till 8:00PM. If you would like to help donate to this ministry, right now we are need of donations to help pay for shipping. I look forward to seeing you all back at youth as we prepare for this wonderful ministry.

In tonight’s lesson we talked all about the kind of challenges a Christian will face when it comes to understanding who they are and what they’re meant to do. Everywhere we turn we are facing many options that claim to offer the truth. If we’re not careful, we can find ourselves chasing after popular opinion, celebrity opinions, or the tug of our own emotions all the while neglecting the unchanging truth found in Scripture. In Isaiah 55:8-9 , it says, For my thoughts are... not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, said the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. All it takes is a seed of doubt planted by others or by yourself to derail the real Truth. We begin to lie to ourselves to make sense of what we think is the right path by making adjustments to our moral compass, based on what benefits us in the moment. Before we know it, we’ve traveled so far from the path God is leading us on, and it’s hard to find our way back. But know this: the truth is in God, and we can always rely on scripture to guide us back to the right path. Acts 17:26-27 And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us.... When we are led down those dark paths and we have fallen away from the Truth, in those moments, God will use those circumstances to help guide you back into the light. Just as a small seed of doubt is planted, all it takes is faith the size of a mustard seed. God will never leave your side and will always be there guiding you and directing you back every time.

Tonight’s Bible Study we will be discussing 5 ways to fight temptation. We will meet at the Morrow House at 7:00p.m. Dinner will be provided. I look forward to seeing you all there! 1 Corinthians 10:13 13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Tonight’s Youth Bible Study will begin at 7:00 pm at the Morrow House. Starting a little later this evening to give me time to get back from a Cross Country Meet in Macon. We will still provide dinner. We will be discussing the virtue of patience in God’s timing. "And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up." Galatians 6:9... Look forward to seeing you all!!!
