& Love Always Wins... Thank you to Lambda Alliance for allowing us to collaborate for the first ever pride festival at Augusta University. One of AU’s core values is inclusivity, and we are proud to further this mission of our university as the voice of students on our campus. A special shoutout to @wildfoxphotos for these pictures! It was hard choosing only 10 for the gram!
Big smiles because free food is the key to a college student’s heart... A huge thank you to K’s Wings for catering the event! We hope you all enjoyed the food and meeting your SGA candidates!
CONGRATULATIONS to our 2019-2020 SGA election winners! Thank you to all the candidates who ran and to all those who voted to make this election season a great one!
#tbt to when K’s Wings came to campus, but it won’t be a throwback for long! SGA is hosting another food truck event on March 18th from 11am-1pm in lot 105 (behind the JSAC) and will be serving 200 students! This event will be an opportunity for you to get some free food but also meet your SGA election candidates. Hope to see you there!
Meet our first ever senior commencement speaker, J’rel Rucker! J’rel is a senior nursing student here at Augusta University, and he is originally from Elberton, GA. He is a member of many organizations including Alpha Phi Alpha, inc. where he serves as the chapter president and National Pan-Hellenic Council where he serves as Vice President. J’rel was also our 2018 Homecoming King and currently serves as a student ambassador on the College of Nursing’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Committee. He has accepted a job at AUMC on the 6N-Cardio Intermediate floor where he is excited to provide quality care to his patients. Congratulations J’rel!
Last night, former Senator Shubra Rajpurohit updated us on the resolution passed last April to install feminine product dispensers. According to the progress of the resolution, we will be getting free feminine products on campus soon! Thank you for coming out and speaking to us!

Had a successful Chat with the Prez event today, and all we can say is we donut know what we’d do without our SGA Prez LeDarius Scott!

Another reason we’re so proud of our Freshman Council...they always stay involved! It is always our goal to better our campus, especially in terms of safety. Last night, SGA conducted a safety walkthrough with AU’s public safety to see where improvements could be made.
Welcome our new senators who were appointed last night. Exciting start to the new semester for SGA!

Excited for some changes on campus!
Attention Spring 2019 graduates! SGA is happy to announce its latest project, which will give a graduating undergraduate senior the opportunity to deliver a speech before the graduating class of 2019 during the Spring commencement ceremony. This project adds face value to one of our university's top priorities, which is graduating students. Applications are now live! And we encourage our graduating seniors to apply! For more details, please contact Senator Brooklyn Doggett at [email protected]. Please consider applying or encouraging someone you know that fits the criterion. Applications end on February 15th, 2019 and voting for the speaker begins March 1, 2019.
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays from our SGA family to yours
Darkness in the form of social injustices is lurking in society, and you may not be aware of it. Become aware of the darkness and help us find the light at the end of the tunnel. Join us in SGA’s Tunnel of Oppression event on November 14th at 6:30pm. Check-in is located in UH 246. Pizza and soda will be provided.
All smiles because we’re a little over halfway done with the semester! So far, SGA has allocated $3,817 to student organizations and individual funding requests. Let’s finish this semester out strong!
This past year, SGA and Student Health have been working diligently to bring student health services to the Summerville Campus. Well, it’s FINALLY HERE! We are excited to announce the arrival of a mobile health clinic! This clinic will offer the same services as the student health clinic on the Health Sciences campus with a registered nurse and physician on board able to provide basic healthcare for our students. Keep a lookout for the opening day of the clinic; it won’t be long!
Want to see change on campus? Let your voice be heard!
