Important Message Concerning COVID-19 Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Augusta Eye MD is postponing all non-essential surgeries until conditions permit. Additionally, hours are reduced Monday through Thursday (so please call our office beforehand) and all Friday appointments will be rescheduled and the office will be closed on Friday’s for the next couple months. On behalf of AEMD, Dr. Jared Staats would like to share the following message regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19...) and how it impacts our clinic and patients: The reputation and success of Augusta Eye MD, since its inception, has been predicated on providing the highest level of ocular care. Our patients’ health and safety will forever be our number one priority. We are fortunate that our patients continue to trust us to care for some the most challenging, complex eye diseases and we intend to remain as available as possible to our patient base moving forward. We may be calling you to conduct telemedicine examinations, or rescheduling your upcoming routine appointment if your eyes and vision have previously been free of disease. Requirements, recommendations and options to provide you care are evolving daily, and we intend to use all avenues possible to continue high quality care to your health and vision. We ask for your patience as we experience significant shifts in our schedule and protocols. Your next visit to Augusta Eye MD may be unique, but the care you will receive will not waiver from the quality you have come to expect. Ocular emergencies and visually threatening eye diseases will occur regardless of the status of COVID-19. On behalf of the entire Augusta Eye MD family, I want to reassure you that we will continue to treat such conditions, and we are here for you in whatever capacity we can be. We will be sure to update our information as often as possible. For additional information, we ask that you simply call and inquire. Jared Staats OD, FAAO
