April 27th, 2020: Today is the day Georgia restaurants are allowed to reopen their dining rooms... Should we open? Should we not? It’s one of the hardest decisions we have had to make for our business and our employees. After a few sleepless nights, We have made a decision. ... We would love to have our dining rooms open and full of our customers enjoying our cuisine & service. Nothing would please me more, But we have decided not to open at this time. People Over Profits We felt that we need to be prudent and employ the philosophy of People Over Profits. What I mean by that is our people are the most critical asset; Our customers, or employees, and our partners. We wanted to make sure we take care of ourselves before our bottom line. This is a tough decision for us to make; however, after all the pros & cons, we decided to delay the opening of our dining rooms in our restaurants. We will be back. We will be stronger. And we will be more innovative. I can’t wait to try some of the fresh menu items I have dreamed up while in quarantine And more importantly, we will be here for you - our loyal customers and partners. Please be safe. The City of Norcross along with Global Mall and Walia Hospitality Group (including Cafe Bombay Indian Bistro & CB Catering, Masti - Indian Street Eats and Ashia...na Banquet Hall & Fine Indian Cuisine.) are working to provide free meals to local citizens fighting the economic effects of COVID-19. A special initiative of Mayor Newton’s, the effort will begin tomorrow, April 15th, with pickup available via drive-through in the Global Mall parking lot off Jimmy Carter Boulevard. Many families are facing difficult financial decisions during this trying time, stated Norcross Mayor Craig Newton. With this new effort, we will be able to feed hundreds of food challenged citizens in Norcross and the surrounding area. Up to 500 freshly cooked meals will be provided each day to anyone in need of help. Distribution will take place three days a week via drive-through in the parking lot of the Global Mall, located at 5675 Jimmy Carter Blvd. Pickup will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the following days: Week 1: April 15th, 17th, and 19th Week 2: April 22nd, 24th and 26th Week 3: April 29th, May 1st and May 3rd For questions, please call 770-416-1122.
