From Mayor Williams: effective immediately, City Hall will be closed until Thursday for cleaning due to the presence of a COVID case in the building. City Council has been cancelled. Public works crews will be working throughout the city, as needed. Please watch this page for further updates.

Sawmill Food Truck has arrived!!! 10:30am - until.

Saw mill Restaurant will be in town this Friday at 10:30. The menu includes three options: (1) Fried Catfish, hushpuppies, fries and slaw; (2) Country Fried Steak, mashed potatoes, green beans; (3) 1/4 Smoked Chicken, baked beans, slaw. Plates are $12 each.

If you know of a Twiggs County child between ages 5 and 10 who has not already received a gift from the Mayor’s Toy Drive or other agencies but who is in need of a gift, please see Shakela at City Hall on Thursday, Dec. 17 between noon and 5pm. The Mayor would like to bless these children with a gift as long as the supply of gifts lasts.
