The animal shelter is running low on can puppy food and in need of donations. Although an adult Muffin depends on puppy food due to her not having any teeth. Muffin has been at the shelter since November 11th and has been receiving treatment for a skin infection.
It’s not everyday we get to save wild life. Officer Davis rescued a raccoon that was stuck in a dumpster and on another a call he captured a injured goose. We will be taking the goose to Auburn on Monday for treatment.
Coco was released from the hospital and is now recovering at the animal shelter! Coco was shot on December 24th on McGregor Street. LaGrange Animal Services would like to thank Troup County Mobile Vet and 4 Paws Animal Hospital for taking care of Coco during the holiday season.

Cedar has been at the shelter now for 70 days and looking for his forever home. Cedar has had a hard life. He was involved in an animal cruelty case and doesn’t get along with other dogs. The adoption fee for Cedar is $75. That includes a voucher to help pay to neuter him, shots, and a microchip.

We received a large donation of cat litter from the Walmart distribution center 6054!
Due to a generous donation today we had 2 dog houses donated to the animal shelter. We were able to locate a family in need of the houses for their dogs.
Winter time is approaching! Please make sure you have adequate housing for your dog! Adequate shelter means a protective covering for a domestic animal that provides adequate space and protection to maintain the animal a state of good health, and that prevents pain, suffering, or significant risk to the animal’s health. Adequate shelter shall consist of a completely enclosed structure with four (4) sides, a constructed floor, and a roof with a door opening. It should also be... clean, dry and compatible with current weather conditions, in addition to age, size, species and condition of the animal. The structure should be of sufficient size to allow the animal to stand, turn around, lie down and go in and out of the structure comfortably. To be adequate, some type of bedding that is quick drying must be provided to maintain comfortable temperatures within the structure during the months of November through March. In addition, the structure shall include a heavy plastic or rubber flap to cover the door and window openings during the months of November through March. From April through November, the structure shall either be shaded or moved out of direct sunlight. If the shelter is made of wood, it shall be raised at least two (2) inches off the ground to prevent seepage or rotting. Examples of inadequate shelter include, but are not limited to, lean-tos, metal or plastic drums, boxes, abandoned vehicles, porches, decks, or material that does not provide sufficient protection from the elements. We were able to send 27 cats to Cape Cod today on Puppy Pipeline! The shelter is still over populated with cats and kittens. We are in need of wet kitten food and towels.

Domino has had life. He was recently picked up for running loose. Domino has heartworms and a slight heart murmur. All of the medical expenses for Domino has been sponsored and currently waiting for treatment to begin so he may leave on Puppy Pipeline.

The puppy has been transported to Auburn University for treatment of neck wounds due to an embedded chain.
