We would like to give thanks to all who participated and volunteered in yesterday’s Music and Food Sharing Event put on by DayGlow Music and MidWest Food Bank. It was very special seeing everyone come together safely and lift the spirits of those in attendance on this unusual holiday season. I would like to send a special shout out to Kenny Creswell from Avatar Events Group and his volunteers for lending us his facility. I would also like to send a special shout out to Micke...y Wade for his friendship, help and support as well as Mathew Sicko for helping out. Also I would like to thank my brothers John Driskell Hopkins and Brian Collins for adding their musical abilities and making this event extra special and last but not least the folks at MidWest Food Bank. Gail Frantz, Jeff Carson Maria Puckett, Chris and Gloria Ciecka Ed and Susanne Quattlebaum. Without you we could not have done this. We sincerely appreciate everyone taking the time out of their day to stop by! Folks, this event was about sharing but most important to demostrare that we need to be there for each other. I have chosen to give some support to my fellow neighbors in this fashion, please if I can give anything from this besides the food and a little break in life is to be an influence so to motivate each and every one of us to figure out ways that we can support each other. DayGLOW Music Release 5/14/2020 We hope this finds everyone healthy and doing everything necessary to keep yourself, your family, and neighbors safe. Although this year is unlike anything we could have ever imagined, we at DayGLOW Music are looking ahead and making plans for some very exciting projects and different kinds of educational music events. DayGLOW Music serves as an advocate for youth music-arts education and acts as a catalyst in instilling an appreciation for min...dfulness and collaborative learning. It is our goal to provide DayGLOW Music programs where under-funded, wholly eliminated, or otherwise negated curriculum may exist. Based on substantial scientific studies, we uphold the belief that music is an essential part in shaping the character of an individual as a whole. Going back and embracing the many testimonials from parents and children that have participated in our summer music programs, we reflect on the following, We believe in, and are so proud of all the amazing things that you and DayGLOW Music are accomplishing. The most important words for us are Believe in, something that we take very serious. That being said, we look at these unprecedented times, where the world has come to a halt as a result of this pandemic, as an incredible opportunity to rise, an opportunity for growth. With the help of Webex (Cisco) and our friends at David Ellefson Youth Music Foundation, we will do just that. We will have the ability to reach out to many children through a virtual means and be able to host this year’s summer music camp and more. Please stay tuned to DayGLOW Music socials and as we progress in our plans, we will be releasing information on the status of our projects. We emphasize again, these times are different, that is for sure, but don’t let them point you in a downward direction of gloom and uncertainty. Together we can use this opportunity as a catalyst to launch us to a place of positivity through music, a place that will allow us to shine and be proud of who we are. WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
