George Washington Carver was a great man. Over the next few days, we'll post some of his quotes that reflect his pure soul and sterling intellect. Thank you John Atkinson for naming our park after him!
Did you know our beautiful lakeside events hall is available for rent year-round? It's ideal for social distancing this holiday season! Check your special date at [email protected].
Summer's not over! Beach is open until September 18th and the perfect picnic get-together weather is just beginning. Starting September 19th, the building and grounds at George Washington Carver Park will be available for private rentals. So get the family together this fall at "The Beach!" The banquet hall is spacious; there's a large front porch with a grill, and there are dozens of picnic tables under our tall Georgia Pines.
Check it out! George Washington Carver Park is #4 on this "favorite 14" list from Rovology.com. Thank you Connie Pearson! There Goes Connie And The Beach is open daily until mid-September. Y'all come see us.
Okay, let's start with the good news. (Well, it's really all good news!) Good News: George Washington Carver Park Beach will be open this year past Labor Day. In fact, it will be open every day - including Mondays - from September 1-18th. Great, right? The not-really-so-bad news is that the beach will be closed August 6-17th, re-opening on August 18th. This is for the park to be able to take advantage of a really great opportunity. We hope you'll understand and take advantage of that wonderful extension of beach time into September.
Come see us at The Beach and have a happy July 4th weekend!
