With millions of presents and packages moving across the country every day, Goin' Postal Clayton recommends a few tips for the safe and timely delivery of your packages: Send your gifts ahead. If you are traveling this holiday season, take the hassle out of carrying wrapped packages with you by sending your gifts ahead of your arrival. Ship early in the season. This will allow you to avoid the lines and provide you with a greater selection of shipping service options. Take advantage of FedEx Ground, FedEx Home Delivery, FedEx Express Saver 3 Day, 2 Day services, UPS Ground, UPS 3 day select, UPS 2 day, to save money on your shipments. Choose the right supplies. Use new, sturdy boxes with the flaps intact and do not reuse boxes. Position at least two inches of bubble wrap, peanuts or other packing materials on all sides and use a heavy-duty tape designed for packaging. Do not use duct tape. Be smart about labeling. Position the address label on the largest surface and provide complete sender and recipient addresses, including zip codes and telephone numbers. Ensure that the label is properly and securely attached. Place a label inside the box, in case the outer label falls off. Be aware of shipping deadlines. For delivery to most areas in time for Christmas, the last day to ship with FedEx Ground is December 15 - 23 (depending on zip code) and the last days to ship with FedEx Express are December 21 for 3-Day Express Saver, December 22 for 2-Day service and December 23 for priority overnight delivery. UPS deadlines are similar to FedEx. For postal shipments the USPS says December 18th for 1st class mail, December 19t for Priority Mail and December 23 for Priority Mail Express.(call if you have questions) ******PLEASE REALIZE that at busy times your package may not get out until the next day due to volume and that time some packaging may have to take place after normal work hours at Goin' Postal Clayton to keep the lines moving at the counter. Goin Postal Clayton will be closed this Thursday-Sunday for Thanksgiving. We will be open Monday Nov. 30th at 8:30AM. Have a great Thanksgiving Holliday.

Goin Postal Clayton will remain closed until power is restored by Georgia Power the latest that I have heard is that that will be sometime on Sunday November 1st. I'm very sorry for any inconveniences but without power we can really do nothing at the store.
