Congratulations to our Distinguished Fellow, Jeffrey Colvin on winning the 2020 Hurston Wright Legacy Award in Debut Fiction for his book Africaville. The award was first introduced in 2001 to Black writers who specialize in poetry, fiction and non-fiction works. Jeffrey was in the midst of editing his book while at Hambidge. We are excited to see it become an award winning piece and couldn’t be more thrilled to share the news.
