Please share. ######### HEMS is beginning an EMT Class September 15th in Cochran at 111-2 Beech St. If you know of anyone interested please feel free to share. ...An application must be filled out and returned by September 11, 2020. We will finish this class December 17th. The cost of the course is $250 and must be paid prior to the start of the course. The $250 will cover the book, online testing service, and the instruction of the class. Students will be responsible for the testing fees at the end of the course. High School Students: You must be 16 by the completion of the course. You will be able to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician written and psychomotor exams. Once any candidate passes both components they would become Nationally Registered. National Registry is good for 2 years and you can apply for state licensure on your 18th birthday.

Bleckley County HS Class of 2020 -Here it is. I've re-synced the audio, added titles and motion-graphics and cut out some of the odowntime. I am working on a me...thod of delivery for those of you who would like to download the video and save it. Because the file is large it may not be easy for those of us who rely on rural internet so I'm working on a plan to create DVDs or thumb drives for those of you who are unable to download the video. There might be a small cost associated with this option. Please PM me if you have an interest in a DVD/Thumb Drive of the event and I'll get back to you when I have developed the most cost efficient plan. Additionally, WSST TV Channel 55 - Will be broadcasting the graduation ceremony on Saturday June 20th at 10am. Enjoy.

Here at Heartland Emergency Medical Services, Inc. we'd like to extend a very warm "Thank You" to the Bleckley County Health Department, South Central Health District and Georgia Department of Public Health for providing free COVID-19 testing for our community yesterday. Their drive-thru testing yesterday at Heartland HQ was extremely efficient. A steady flow of traffic kept the ladies busy and we appreciate all of their time.

Heartland EMS Team HAPPY EMS WEEK 2020! I want to say THANK YOU to each member of our Heartland EMS Team during these trying times and let you know how much I appreciate the job you do! This virus has affected each one of us and it effects the way we are continuing to do business. Day in and day out our Heartland EMS Team is out on the front lines continuing to take care of the citizens of this state. I am thankful for each and every one of you! It takes everyone pulling together in difficult times to make us the strong and cohesive team that we are. I could not be any prouder of this HEMS Team as I am today! We're halfway through National EMS Week and our EMT Class is officially underway. Last night 22 students gathered together, taking their first steps into the role of a First-Responder. Robin Hamsley was delighted to instruct and share her knowledge. Very soon these men and women will be out on the front lines protecting our communities. #emsweek
