To All Our Staff and Business Partners: Our COVID 19 PLAN As one of the preferred homecare providers in Georgia, Family Bridge Healthcare Services Llc. has supported our individuals through many difficult times and emergencies over the past twenty years. However, as Coronavirus, or COVID-19, has now presented new unchartered challenges, FBHS is prepared to take care of and continue to support all staff and individuals assigned to us. We will continue to be committed to vi...gilant infection control practices, carefully following the guidance and recommendations from the CDC, DCH and local health officials, to ensure the on-going safety for all employees and individuals. In an effort to provide open communication on this topic, I wanted to share with you what FBHS is doing to ensure the safety and soundness while caring for the Individuals in our homes and their residences. Our Field Team Members (both Aides and Nurses) may be at heightened risk for exposure to a patient or persons in the patient’s household. To help prevent the spread of the virus, our staff is remaining vigilant and carefully following these recommendations and guidance from the CDC: 1. Employees with acute respiratory illness are not to come to work until they are free of fever (100.4 F) and any other symptoms (cough, shortness of breath) for at least 24 hours. Employees are to notify their supervisor if they have symptoms of acute respiratory illness. Staff who exhibit signs of acute respiratory illness (fever, cough, shortness of breath) during the work day or upon arrival to work will be immediately sent home. While in the office, employee will be asked to cover their cough, use respiratory etiquette and hand hygiene. 2. FBHS has been and will continue to provide gloves, hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes throughout its offices. 3. Field staff will continue to receive and use gloves, alcohol hand rub and paper towels for use in patient’s homes. Everyone is advised to frequently wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. When soap and running water are unavailable, use an alcohol-based hand rub with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if visibly soiled. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Field staff must always be sure to have PPE available. Ensure you maintain PPE supplies in accordance with CDC guidelines. https://www.cdc.gov/ Field Staff - Use Sani-Wipes to clean patient equipment following universal disinfection practices. Should you have any questions about our preventative practices surrounding COVID-19, please don’t hesitate to the office and speak with one of the Nurses or Management. Thank you for your continued trust in our Agency to care for the health of your loved ones. Cordelia Ofoegbu Administrator
