New Semester = New IM Calendar! Registration is now open for all sports this semester! We’re kicking off the semester with Basketball, so make sure you review the updated safety procedures video we posted and fill your rosters BEFORE REGISTRATION CLOSES! Something new we’re doing this semester is hosting Captains’ Meetings before each of our major sports! These meetings will provide you with important information about each of these sports! They will be hosted on Zoom at 5:30... and 6:30 on their specified days! Our first one is coming up on January 21st! We can’t wait to get this semester started! #mufortheshirt

Everybody say hello to this weeks RSW participant feature, Alex Rogers! Alex is a freshman biology major that loves to play volleyball! Her co-rec intramural volleyball name was I’d Hit That. She wants to thank her team for improvising all season and having fun. Alex wanted to give a special shout-out to her teammate Kennia ( @kennia.alexia ) for making her a better player! Alex enjoys drawing, painting, and watching TV in her spare time away from intramurals and school! ... We asked Alex what her favorite part about intramurals and she said I appreciate getting to meet different people of different levels all with the same interest in there sports Thank you Alex!

Due to a lack of lifeguard coverage, the UC Pool will not be hosting morning swim hours tomorrow, November 24. The pool will be open from 12pm - 2pm and from 4-pm - 8pm.

Say hello to this week’s RSW participant feature Kennia Kirksey! Kennia is a biology major with a chemistry minor! Her favorite intramural sport is volleyball and although she hasn’t played any other offered sports yet, she is looking forward to all the sports offered nest semester! Kennia’s hobbies include reading, scrolling through twitter and pinterest, and spending time with family and friends! ... Speaking of friends and family, Kennia would like to highlight her parents Latoshia and Kenneth Kirksey Sr., her brothers Kenneth Jr. and Kennan Kirksey, her friends, and her amazing volleyball team I’d hit that for pushing her to be the best person she can be! We asked Kennia what she enjoyed most about intramurals and her response was The most enjoyable aspect of intramural sports is the opportunity to connect with other Mercerians and grow as a team Thank you, Kennia!

Volleyball has come to an end with 3 extremely competitive games last night! ADPi won our Women’s division, Do It For Bill won CoRec, and One Last Time won our Men’s division! Thanks for playing!

Say hello to our FIRST participant feature shoutout, James! James is an Intern with Reformed University Fellowship (RUF), a christian campus ministry at Mercer. His job centers around building community with students, reaching them for Christ, and equipping them to be active and participative members of local churches during and after college. James spends his free time sticking his nose in books and playing board games and when time permits, catching up with friends over c...offee! James has already participated in Ultimate Frisbee and Sand Volleyball this year but is excited for the upcoming IM Soccer season! James’ favorite aspect of IM sports is the comradery and community it facilitates. He loves having the opportunity to gather old and new friends and play sports together! Next time you see James out on the intramural fields, make sure to say hi!
