STRENGTH ISN’T THE ONLY TO RETURNING BACK TO SPORT There are plenty of ongoing debates as to the criteria for when it is safe for an Athlete to return to the field. Many times we focus on just getting strong in the injured limb, but seldom is it that simple. When an athlete returns to full play they are subject to plenty of sudden starts, stops, turns and unexpected contact. One way we begin to address this, and athlete confidence is through Proprioceptive training and s...port related tasks. OrthoGeorgia would like to congratulate the following Macon Touchdown Club Players of the Week Winners for 10/23/2020: OrthoGeorgia Back of the Week: Jalik Thomas, Senior Quarterback Central High School. Jalik rushed 24 times for 170 yards, and was 12 of 20 passing for 141 yards, and 3 TDs. He also added a 2 point conversion and had 2 tackles in his team's victory over Upson Lee. OrthoGeorgia Lineman of the Week: Coleman Cauley, Junior LB First Presbyterian Day School. Colema...n contributed 16 tackles and 1 Tackle for Loss in his team's victory over Tattnall Square Academy. OrthoGeorgia Special Teams Player of the Week: Evan West, Junior Kicker/Punter Jones County High School. Evan went 7 of 7 on PATs, had 3 Kickoffs for touchbacks, and averaged 47 yards per punt in his team's victory over Locust Grove.
