Pike County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Allen Stop and Shop in Concord last night at 9:33 p.m. . Two African-American males had entered the store armed with a rifle and demanded money from the cash registers. The suspects were wearing masks while committing the robbery. Both suspects fled the store to a passenger car that was waiting for them a short distance from the store. The vehicle left traveling southbound on Roberts Quarters Road. The store employees were not injured during the robbery. Investigators are asking anyone with information to call them at 770-567-8431. Callers may remain anonymous.

Mr. Green came and visited our county the other night. Unfortunately, he brought his friend with him and they decided to break into our citizens vehicles. The good news for him is that we found his id and cellphones when they ran off in the woods ,after a homeowner spotted them. We should be wrapping up the investigation on multiple entering autos in the Hutchinson Farm, Ashley Glenn and 362 Place subdivisions shortly.

Pike County deputies responded to Ashley Glenn subdivision last night at 2:51 a.m. in reference to two males trying to break into cars. The suspects had fled from the area on foot after realizing that the homeowners had spotted them. A search of the area did not locate the suspects , however a vehicle was found hidden in the rear of the subdivision believed to belong to the suspects. This vehicle has been impounded and forensic evidence will be collected. The car is registere...d out of Clayton County and Investigators are working to identify the two suspects. Video from home security systems has also been provided by residents. Additional entering autos have been reported in the 362 Place subdivision. Deputies responded to a report of a bank robbery this afternoon in Concord at the First Bank of Pike. The suspect in the pictures presented a note to the teller demanding money. The note inferred that he possessed a weapon and would use it. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash from the bank. Investigators are working the case and have collected evidence from the scene. Anyone with information can call an investigator at 770-567-8431.
