Feeling inspired!!! "Hear the Whisper" is a student led grassroots movement in Georgia that every educator should research and consider implementing as an opti...on for student leadership and support. Principal Gary Davison from Lambert High School shared the positive impact the program has had on his study body, and Marietta City School's highly recognized student Osamide spoke from a student's perspective. Wow! Her message was inspiring. I don't think there was a disengaged person in the room!!! Huge appreciation to Arik Gilbert and Akiba Gilbert for inviting us to the Whisper Dinner tonight!!! Every educator in the country needs to know about Whisper, especially after going through this pandemic. The website is hearthewhisper.com. This is a completely student led grassroots movement in schools to build leadership, help students positively connect to each other, and build confidence. From everything I saw tonight, this movement helps students lean on each other for support in any aspect of life they deem important or a challenge. Arik Gilbert started the student led organization at Marietta City High School during his time there. While the world knows him as the greatest and highest recruited athlete and tight end in the country, he also has some impeccable leadership skills. We are so grateful that Arik positively influences our son Stephen and the awesome impact he has had on Stephen's life for years as well. Check out hearthewhisper.com! I know you will become as inspired as I am for this opportunity for student led leadership in schools. They are planning to add more schools this year. So now is the time. I attached the program for your review and to share the contacts to get the program started in your schools if you like."
