Our new porta-john has arrived! Not quite set up yet but will be soon. Looking for the first user so we can make a photo event out of it.

Can’t beat those garden sunsets!
Can’t beat those garden sunsets!
We may not enjoy the rain so much, but our fungi friends are as happy as can be and showing off!
What’s the best part about growing banana trees in our area??? Joe gets to slice and dice! Check out what’s left of this massive banana flower with its little bitty bananas. The flowers are something out of this world!

Important Announcement - https://mailchi.mp/f3a3ed801/important-announcement-5185640
Some recent going ons at the garden. Garrett Luke bordered and mulched an area behind the garden shed. He also planted some lemon blueberries. Very curious what they taste like. Lowes had them discounted down to $3. We also extended a bed prepped for later plantings along our entry drive. We added some 'Cooper's Ice plant to that bed. We paid $1.80 ea for those on clearance. Our salad greens are ready for some pickings. We planted some Bromeliads nearer the milk truck ridge.... Those were donated by our gardener friend Deborah Elzea. What else? We mulched a tree area back where AWARE plans to build. We want to protect this island of trees. Mikel and Bill Eifrid worked that area. Mikel planted three Magnolia (Banana Shrub) 'Stellar Ruby' shrubs behind the 'milking shed ruins'. They will get to be 6 to 10' high. Also bought for a 60% discount (we love Lowes clearance racks). And Michele Eifrid planted some winter annuals in the window wells at the end of our guardrail beds. What we did not get too is 'Chocolate Chip Ajuga' goundcover. Just $1, regular $11.98 for the 6-pack. Still trying to decide where. It was a good and productive weekend! ;-) See more
