SSD Implosion on October 5, 2019

The implosion of the 5-story building, located at 1330 West Peachtree Street Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30309, is scheduled for Saturday, October 5th, 2019 at 7:00 a.m. Beginning at 5:00 a.m. and up to one hour following the implosion, access in and around downtown areas (17th Street NW, Sprint St. NW, West Peachtree St NW, Arts Center Way NE, and 16th St) will be restricted to all citizens and vehicles as inspections and post clean-up efforts are conducted (see closure/detour ma...p). Any residents and business personnel required to be in the Exclusion Zone (see map) during the time of the demolition event are directed to stay indoors and shelter in place. We are encouraging the public and everyone that wants to watch the implosion to tune in to our live Facebook feed on October 5th as there will not be a public viewing area.
