Here's as good a first statement/step as any, in honor of one of our heroines, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

This email exchange we had today (below) is typical for deliveries these days and the many conversations we've had lately...calls to congresspeople would be much appreciated with a request that all decisions to eliminate USPS overtime, etc, be REVERSED, not just paused until after the election. And, as always, your indie appreciates your patience! "Hi XXXX, I'm not sure what is going on with this package. Looks like it's been in Massachusetts since the 16th but missed i...ts August 17th delivery date, then it hasn't moved the 18th or today either. There hasn't been a new update, they just keep changing the date on the last one. Not sure if you can try to see what is going on with the package, but this is very abnormal for USPS. Just wanted to let you know that this has not been delivered yet and I'm a bit concerned. I'll keep an eye on it and be in contact with you when it arrives or by the end of the week if it doesn't. Thanks, XXXX... Thank you, XXXX, for the update. We will also be checking on it on our end. As you have probably heard, reasons both viral and political have slowed the mail and packages are in bins waiting to go out for delivery by postal carriers not allowed to do extra runs on overtime. They have much more mail to deliver these days and a deliberately imposed slowdown has caused problems for every business that relies on the USPS. This is why we are sure to have tracking numbers and insurance on each book going out. We'll stay on top of it, and you be sure and send us a note if it shows up. Thank you, and we are sorry for the delay. Best, XXXX"
