Now that Trump is surely checkmated after the US supreme court voted 7-2 today to completely diss the quixotic appeal of the repug Texas attorney general and seventeen other repug state attorneys general plus over one hundred US house repug reps to overthrow the free fair and relatively competent 2020 election of Joe Biden some MSNBC talking heads and their guests are now almost quoting me word for word in the article below about the poor sense of decency and common sense of ...Trump's supporters who coughed up money for the election overthrow after Trump lost the election (over two hundred million dollars worth shot to hell) some of which is likely to remain in Trump's personal coffers after January 20. Four of the six repug right wing ideologues on the US supreme court have better morals and ethics than I feared they might have. The only chessboard move left for Trump to stay in power is a military coup, but surely the probability of this happening is close to zero, although the us army general Flynn, just pardoned of felony crimes by Trump, is now advocating that very thing. For all practical purposes however it seems to me Trump's goose is cooked and the would-be billionaire king/fascist dictator of the US is no longer a threat to our democratic voting system, contaminated as it is with the Electoral College. Hallelujah. Unfortunately a remaining question is how much damage to other systems this dysfunctional human might do in the next thirty-eight days before he must vacate the White House. See more
