We are closed today but wanted to take a moment to thank you for trusting us with the care of your furry family members. We greatly appreciate your loyalty to the hospital and working with us while we have adapted to this new (and hopefully temporary) normal. Please cherish the time that you are spending with your loved ones and take an extra moment to think about the ones who could not make it due to the trying circumstances that we all have faced this year. With thanks an...d love, Dr Washington, Jenny, Linda, Georgia, Shannon and Aaron Should you need immediate veterinary attention, please reach out to: Blue Pearl 455 Abernathy Rd NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328 (404) 459-0903

Hey friends! Just a quick reminder that we will be closed for Thanksgiving. We will reopen on Friday at 8AM. As you are enjoying your meal with family and friends, please keep in mind that table food may not be appropriate our pets. Some of the largest food concerns that we have around this time are: Gravy/Butter Raw Bread Dough Ham (Especially glazed)... Bones/Fats/Skin Onions Garlic Grapes/Raisins Turkey (raw) Green Beans (seasoned/cooked) Mushrooms Corn (on the cob) Chocolate Feeding these foods to your pet may trigger stomach upset, vomiting, diarrhea or pancreatitis while others can be toxic. Foods that your pet might enjoy: Sweet Potatoes Green Beans (raw) Carrots (unseasoned) Pumpkin Apples Bread (baked) These foods are safe in moderation. Additionally, if you are going out of town, be sure that your pet's vaccine history is up to date. If you intend to board, we recommend checking with your boarding facility to see if they require a canine influenza vaccine. If you are uncertain, please give us a call to confirm vaccine history or head over to www.ahdunwoodyvillage.com and sign up for our pet portal to view your records. Have a safe week!
