We are almost a year in the books with this student! He is now halfway through Pre-K. Our Sunday sessions are so much fun! Here we are using clothes pins to strengthen those small motor muscles , while matching lower and upper case letters. Math is also a key focus in our lesson plan. Math is a broad subject and we at APLUS teach all areas : counting , sorting , measuring , shapes , problem solving , number recognition & more ! During this session the student learned the idea of ‘more or less’.

PROGRESS CHECK At three years old our student is now writing his entire first name. This could not have been done without collaborating with his school teachers ! We all have been working together to get prepared for Pre-k. Every session we strengthen those small finger muscles (fine motor) by using jumbo tweezers or other fine motor activities. This fosters pre writing skills & pencil grip. Since the beginning of the year we have mastered : shapes , colors , letters, numbers and more. Now , we are excited to be progressing towards writing his last name, phonemic awareness (letter sounds), recognizing coins and more ! For inquiries please email [email protected]

Progress Check This student has been working so diligently with me every Sunday for the last 3 months. In these photos we are practicing beginner name writing. Our focuses are: fine motor, Math, and Pre-Writing. He will be Pre-K ready !

These activities were prepared for a four year old that is attending Pre-K next school year. With A+PLUS LEARNERS, each child is assessed individually during the first session to determine the areas of focus. These developmental skills include: fine motor (small muscle development), Math concepts/ Relations, and Pre Literacy Skills.
