We are so thankful the Christmas parade is coming by the Pavilion so our residents can enjoy some of the Christmas cheer! Shout-out to the Chamber & City for h...elping us make this happen! *Please help us in congratulating Mr. Ronald Lamb for successfully reaching all of his rehabilitation goals! He has discharged home from our Short Term Rehabilitation program here at the Pavilion which is a part of the Appling Healthcare System. Mr. Ronald is now able to walk with no assistance, he can speak and eat his food much better, and he is able to perform all of his activity of daily living tasks that allow him to function independently at home.* When I first came to... the Pavilion it took 2 or 3 people to get me up, now it doesn’t even take one person. I had trouble moving my left arm at all and now I am able to to move it and use it to grab things which is much different from before I started my therapy. My overall strength has improved so much and has really helped me be able to move around and walk with less help. Thanks to Speech therapy I can move my facial muscles with better control, my speech has improved greatly, and I have been able to eat and swallow my food much better. I think the therapy team at the pavilion does a great job! Knowing what I know now I would never choose anywhere else to have received my therapy. BenCura would like to thank Appling County Ministerial Alliance in Baxley, GA for allowing us to participate in the Back to School Giveaway once again this year. This is BenCura's second year participating in such a wonderful event that helps out the local community. This year we did things a little different and handed out pencil boxes and pouches filled with school supplies. What better way to start the school year than with new supplies!
