Wow, what a year2020 has been! In spite of all the things everyone has endured, thank God we as a community still stands together. We are truly blessed to have been in a position to have seen first hand the generosity and compassion of our great citizens. To each of you who donated toys, bikes, or made a monetary donation, know that it counted and mattered. It’s because of you that a lot of our children are able to have a little Christmas. We would also like to thank Pap’s Pedals (In memory of Alton Bailey), Fox 31’s Kerri Copello and Toys for Tots Mrs. Pam Joiner for always working hard to help others. Thank you to the Ladies from Walgreens for taking care of us today. If you haven’t received your flu vaccine, this is the time to do it!

Today was an awesome day. We kicked off our first annual Faith and Blue Event! We partnered with GSP Post 13, Bother Mark Swain, and Flat Creek Church. It was truly a perfect day to join law enforcement officers and our local residents together through this connection of a beautiful house of worship. With the support of our local residents and the support of our faith based community all working together, we can thrive. Thanks to all the agencies that represented, and all the people that showed up to have great interaction and fellowship. The food that everyone prepared was phenomenal. And the poem that was written and read today by Mrs. Sandra Rowan was beautiful.

The District Attorney’s Office along with the Sheriff’s Office would like to remind everyone that October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Thank you Dick Perryman and your office for your support and for the sweet treats!

Yesterday was a beautiful day to come out and enjoy our 2nd amendment. Due to Covid,this was our first class this year and it went great! Thank you ladies for entrusting In our agency and qualified instructors. We had a great time and hope you enjoyed it as well.

The Berrien County Jail has an opening for a correctional officer. Must be 18 , have a clean driving record and a high school diploma or GED. If you are interested in this position please come to the sheriff’s office during business hours (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm) to apply.
