It's a smoothie kind of Friday here at Jeff Davis High School. Students are enjoying the results of the Fruit Unit in Mrs. Corbitt's Nutrition and Wellness Classes.

SENIORS Class of 2021 - There is a very important meeting planned next Friday, April 23rd during buzz block in the auditorium to discuss end of year activities and expectations. Please make plans to attend! If you are a senior virtual student and would like to attend face to face, remember to sign in at the front office. If you wish to attend virtually, we will send out a meeting invite.

Congratulations to Bryce Williams & Ivan Chu on being FCCLA State Winners in Food Science Investigations! They presented on Organic versus Inorganic foods. FCCLA pays winners $75. Great job representing Jeff Davis at the 75th Year Anniversary of FCCLA Virtual State Leadership Conference!

Recently our Lunchroom has been working extremely hard to provide amazing options for our students, even during extreme circumstances. We have had a wonderful Southwest Salad and an amazing Strawberry Salad.

Congratulations to Katherine "Kat" Toler on being named Jeff Davis High School's 2021 STAR Student. Kat is the 18 year old daughter of Jessica and Scott Toler of Hazlehurst. The STAR student is the student with the highest SAT score in one sitting and must be in the top 10% of his/her graduating class. Kat has chosen Mrs. Tracey McNeal as her STAR Teacher. The STAR student and teacher program is sponsored by PAGE. Congratulations to both Kat Toler and Mrs. McNeal. We are super proud of you both!

Boys Basketball will be playing Swainsboro on the road this Friday night in the Region Tournament. Game starts at 6PM, and ticket sales are limited to online purchase only. There will also be a limit on the number of tickets sold (200 per team), and will be a first come/first served basis. Details for ticket purchase are below. How did you spend your Fat Tuesday? Several students and friends joined Madame Thompson for a Google Meet with her former student Jean-Louis (Benjamin Bennett). He presently is a consultant for many fashion design houses in Paris, where he resides as a French citizen. Masks were worn by all as we celebrated virtually on this popular holiday.
