Let's Celebrate Health Care Facilities & Engineering Week! This year's theme is "Engineered to Make a Difference." Every year, during the last week of October, we honor the important role that facilities and engineering team members have in ensuring a safe and efficient environment for all patients, residents, visitors and staff within hospitals. Their work, although a critical part of hospital operations, often goes unnoticed. National Health Care Facilities & Engineering Week is a time to change this dynamic and shine a spotlight on the important work done by facility departments! #HealthEngWeek

It’s National Respiratory Care Week! #RCWeek21 During the COVID-19 pandemic, Respiratory Therapists have entered the spotlight for their efforts in saving lives. We could not have made it through the last 2 years without their lifesaving work and dedication to patient care. This week, we recognize these contributions and encourage students to pursue a career in Respiratory Care! For more info, visit https://be-an-rt.org/

UNG students with a minor in gerontology have found great career opportunities, and now they will have the chance to earn a nexus degree in applied gerontology with a concentration in family caregiving. "This credential is a way we can further train students to work with older adults across all sectors of our economy," said Dr. Pamela Elfenbein, director of the Institute for Healthy Aging. The nexus degree is a new academic credential and the first new degree program in the U.S. since the 1890s, when the associate degree was added. #UNGleads #InstituteofHealthyAging #nexusdegree
