Hello my Wonderful Students, friends, and Students and friends to be : It has been a while since I have posted, One of My 2018 resolutions is to post more on my School of Golf page, Unfortunately I have had a few snags along the way. BUT DONT GIVE UP ON ME, I ABOUT TO BECOME LIKE A CALIFORNIA WILDFIRE I INTEND TO SPREAD MY KNOWLEDGE, MY EXPERTISE TO ANY AND All Comers, any one who has the least, maybe the slightest interest in golf.. I'm your guy to stop by and speak with Ma...ny folks seem to find it uncomfortable, intimidating, expensive, To Obtain Golf Instruction. This is far from the truth. Take it from me, Golf instruction is the best investment you or anyone will ever make in your whole life!! Yes you have heard your friends say things like, "That Pro has my game all messed up" Well before Throwing the Pro under the bus, How much time, effort, working on the drills, have you put into the lesson you have just obtained, ie : If I were to Line up 500 Avid golfers in a line, and checked, each of their grips, how many of the 500 do You think have a correct grip? 3 maybe 3 of the refer to the" 2 P's" Placement and Pressure. Now there are 2 grips in the game 1. A CORRECT GRIP 2. AN INCORRECT GRIP. Now there are a couple of variations, HOWEVER THE 2 P'S ARE AND ALWAYS WILL BE CORRECT OR INCORRECT. IF you have ever taken a session w me you will see the first thing I check are My "2 P's".. If this is not to my liking, sorry.. I. My fellow golfers, if you have yet to Visit the World Golf Hall of Fame your missing out. There are two Courses that are part of the WGHOF First course is where and First and Only course that exist that was designed by the Great Golden Bear Mr. Jack Nicholas and the The KING of Golf Mr. Arnold Palmer, It was only fit that it be called The King and the Bear. This is one of my personal favorite top 5 facilities in which I have been blessed to play thus far. I would highly re...commend Playing this Facility. GREAT TRAC!!! You are treated with 5 star service, from the moment you arrive on the property until you depart. The second facility is called the Slammer and the Squaire it got its name from Mr. Slammin Sammy Snead, and the Squaire Mr. Gene Sarazen ( Mr. Gene Sarazen inventor of the Sand iron and one of very few Whom won all four majors)! This is another great TRAC and amoungst my top 7 favoriwwwte courses in which I have played thus far. Then there is the WORLD GOLF HALL OF FAME. THIS IS A MUST ALL AVID GOLFERS SHOULD APPLY TO HIS OR HER BUCKET LIST TAKE 3 DAYS TO PLAY BOTH FACILITIES AND VISIT THE WGHOF THESE FINE FACILITIES WOULD BE A VACATION GOLFERS WOULD TALK ABOUT FOR YEARS TO COME. Amateur Golfers ask me frequently, why is my ball going to the right? Well first , goid golf begins w a PROPER GRIP or as I refer to the 2 "P's" PLACEMENT, AND PRESSURE, ! LETS TALK ABOUT GRIP PRESSURE ON A SCALE OF 1 TO 10 IF 1 IS THE LIGHTEST AMD 10 IS THE TIGHTEST WHERE DOES YOUR PRESSURE FALL ON THAT SCALE W EACH of your Clubs? Here is my recommendation.. 5 maybe a 6 and here is the deal it should be a 5 or 6 at address on the backswing and ESPECIALLY ON THE DOWN SWING, T...HIS IS WHERE MOST GOLFERS ESPECIALLY MEN GET INTO TROUBLE, I HAVE COME UP W A NAME FOR THIS ISSUE "CAVEMAN EFFECT" meaning stick, ball, hit HARD!! w this mentality one is naturally going to grip tighter on the downswing which is double trouble, 1 as the pressure increases the clubhead is slowed down by almost 30% so if your normal Driver swing speed is 100 mph it reduces your swi.g speed by 30 mph, and this is a huge loss of distance, 2. A tighter grip on the downswing inhibits the core, the hands from releasing causing the face to remain slightly open result left to right spin is being imparted on the ball known as the gear effect, result ball goes right (Right hand players) Left hand players totally opposite will happen. So next time you are on the Range firm but not tight grip pressure, about a 5 , 6 at the very most maintain this through out the entire swing, mental thought swing the club let the ball get in the way, instead of trying to swing and hitting it out of the park.
