#nationalpitbullawarenessday We just wanted to make you aware of our sweet friend Calvin. He is the BEST patient and the perfect ambassador for his breed. If you love pit bulls as much as we do, show us your fur kids in the comments below #showusyourpitties

Say hello to Reece! He came to see us to examine two new lumps over his shoulder and chest. Neither lump was growing or changing quickly. Dr. Belyeu performed a fine needle aspirate of the lumps to extract some cells to look at under the microscope. Luckily for Reece, only adipose or fat cells were seen and he was diagnosed with two benign, fatty tumors called lipomas. A surgical biopsy of a lump provides a definitive diagnosis, but an aspirate is a less invasive way for us to determine if the mass or lump could be problematic or require further diagnostics. It’s always good to have any new lumps or bumps checked out by your veterinarian. #themoreyouknow #lipoma #minatureschnauzer
