Strong Rock’s Academy Wrestling team competed hard in the GISA Middle School State Championships this past Saturday. Our team finished 2nd place and we had several placers as well. We completed our season on a high note!! #strongrockchristianschool #wrestling

Strong Rock’s Bass Fishing team, who was just named a few weeks ago, competed in their first GISA Regional Open Bass Fishing Tournament at the Lake Blackshear Tournament this past Saturday. Brooks Jones and Bentley Evans placed 2nd overall in the GISA Fishing Tournament! Brooks Jones also received the GISA Regional Open Big Bass Award for big fish of the day! Our Bass Fishing Team is: Charlie Guinade, Lawson Hull, Bentley Evans, Zach McDonald, Ross Shirah, Brooks Jones, Bennett Jones, and Luke Knight. Their next competition will be on Feb. 27th @ Lake Lanier Laurel Park. We can’t wait to see how well they do this season. Congratulations! #bassfishing #strongrockchristianschool

We have been truly blessed and had the Lord's hand on our school this year to be able to celebrate 100 DAYS OF LIVE, IN-PERSON TEACHING!! Not only have we been blessed, but we have amazing parents and students that want to be a blessings to others. In honor of 100 days, we asked you, our families, to help bring in 100 items. Not to anyone's surprise, you all surpassed the goal and went above and beyond. We collected 210 bars of soap, 168 pair of mittens, 249 pair of black socks, 122 boxes of mac and cheese, 238 jars of baby food, 101 canned goods and 100 adult ponchos! WOW! On January 26, the Patriot Players will have their One Act Competition Show, On the Verge or the Geography of Yearning, in preparation for their competition on January 30. Lily Brown, a third grader at Strong Rock just had a haircutbut not just any haircut. Her best friend, Addy Vasil’s MiMi is losing her hair because of chemo, and her heart was moved to do something. She thought that because she has plenty of hair, she should just go cut it off to donate it to MiMi! The Vasil family, who has Addy (1st grader) and Cooper (4th grader) here at Strong Rock, was so touched by this tender generosity. We are so proud of Lily and her choice to make a difference in another person’s life through this amazing act of kindness. It was also really great that one of our Strong Rock moms, Kristian McCarter at Hair Smithsonian was able to do the haircut! Strong Rock shooting team had a meet that was held November 20th and 21st in Savannah at the Forest City Gun Club. The team finished 10th overall in the State, the team was led by Aniston Hamil (senior)who shot 247 out of 300, Landon Neely (freshman) who shot 235 out of 300, Connor Morgan (senior) who shot a 222 out of 300, Duncan Boutelle (senior) who shot 222 out of 300, and Isaac Cotton (freshman) who shot a 220 out of 300. All five of the team’s score reflect personal best for each shooter. Senior Aniston Hamil did a great job leading the team she finished 4th in the state in Skeet, scoring 97 out of 100, and finished 5th in the state in trap scoring 87 out of 100 68 out of 100 on Sporting Clays and finished 5th in the state in the High overall category for female shooters. #GoPatriots #strongrockchristianschool #shootingteam
