God, help me love the life I live right now. Show me the good things I often overlook and help me be content with what I have. Forgive me when I compare myself to others, forgive me for longing for things outside of You and Your kingdom. Thank You for loving me right where I am, right as I am. Help me keep my eyes on You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. - Nicki Koziarz

Daughters, you are invited to a special Zoom workshop and conversation with The Brotherhood of St. Andrew about "Serving Millennials: Fostering Young Adult Engagement in the Church." The virtual meeting will take place on Wednesday, November 18th 1:00-2:30 pm ET with The Reverend Matt Marino, Rector of Trinity Parish in Saint Augustine, Florida. The Brotherhood at Saint John’s Episcopal Church in Tulsa, in coordination with the Brotherhood of Saint Andrew national organizatio...n, is pleased to offer a workshop and conversation via Zoom to foster engagement of young adults in the church. This event is particularly geared to those in adult groups who are concerned with recruiting future members to carry on their longstanding ministries of worship, study, service, and fellowship. These organizations include the Brotherhood of Saint Andrew, Daughters of the King, Episcopal Church Women, Saint Barbara’s Guild, and any other group that has an established membership. We are pleased that Father Matt Marino will be leading this workshop. He has decades of experience engaging those coming of age. After 15 years on staff with Young Life, Matt was the director of Youth, Young Adults and summer camping in the diocese of Arizona, then worked with Young Adults at Saint John the Divine in Houston before becoming Rector at Trinity Parish in Saint Augustine, Florida. Matt was a popular speaker at the Brotherhood Triennial in Austin a couple of years ago, and will lead our Men’s Retreat next Spring. During the pandemic, we’ve had the privilege to get to know Father Matt’s family through his Facebook videos entitled On the Porch with the Padre." It was especially great to see his son Luke while home from Annapolis. In this current situation when connecting electronically keeps us safer, it also gives the opportunity to reach out across the country and share this workshop to all who are able to register and attend. You will need to register for this virtual meeting. You can get the link to register on The Order's website here: https://www.doknational.org/events/EventDetails.aspx

Lord, thank You for Your abundant, abounding grace. Thank You that we don't have to earn a drop of the mighty river of grace that flows freely for us today. Thank You for the unexpected, unmerited favor You've showered on my life. Help me put myself in the path of Your love and grace. Help me not neglect the disciplines I need to meet with You regularly and to drink from the water of life. Thank You for Your rich love. Amen. - David Mathis

O God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, our only Savior, the Prince of Peace: Give us grace seriously to lay to heart the great dangers we are in by our unhappy divisions; take away all hatred and prejudice, and whatever else may hinder us from godly union and concord; that, as there is but one Body... and one Spirit, one hope of our calling, one Lord, one Faith, one Baptism, one God and Father of us all, so we may be all of one heart and of one soul, united in one holy bond of truth and peace, of faith and charity, and may with one mind and one mouth glorify thee; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. -Book of Common Prayer, Page 818 See more

For all the saints, who from their labors rest . On November 1st, All Saints’ Day, we remember especially those Daughters/Saints who have gone before us. We have loved and admired our leaders and visionaries who have helped The Order become the great force for prayer, service and evangelism around the world that it is today. In the early 20th century, several of these leaders and visionaries had the foresight to create an Endowment Fund to further the work of The Order in t...he extension of Christ’s Kingdom and it was established at the Triennial Convention of 1928. November 1st was the date chosen for an annual ingathering, and it was members of the National Council at their meeting in April of 1929 who themselves contributed to begin the Fund. From those seemingly small donations, through donations over the years and yours today, the Fund has now grown to a substantial amount (over one million dollars) from which only the earnings can be used to help The Order financially. Under strict and conservative spending policies, Endowment Fund earnings have been used over the years to provide support to the National Enrichment and International Daughters programs. This past fiscal year, a distribution was made to supplement the operating revenue due to a lack of membership dues income being received. Given the current environment, earnings from the Endowment principal have been lower than in previous years. Donations are added to the principal and are restricted funds which are not available for use directly as the Fund was established as an endowed fund in perpetuity. Annually, only a portion of the Fund’s earnings are available to be paid out when they are sufficient. Your loving donations come in regularly to honor the memory of or in thanksgiving for your loved ones and we thank you very much for those. They will continue to help The Order into the future. Let us now think of increasing our offerings on this All Saints’ Day, at the ingathering for the Fund. My goal is to double our normal donations. I will; will you? Please join me in helping The Order. Make an Online Donation Today: https://www.doknational.org/donations/donate.asp?id=11091 Lindy Kirk Endowment Chair
