Alma- Bacon County Crime Suppression Unit

While you were sleeping this morning, we were working. Bacon Co Sheriff Andy Batten’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit, along with the Alma Bacon Co Crime Suppressio...n Unit and Nicholls Police Department conducted two simultaneous search warrants on two Narcotics Dealers here in the City of Alma in the early morning hours. As a result, Michael Cheeta Palmer and James Steven Foots Williams were arrested. A undisclosed quantity of Methamphetamine and Currency was recovered from both scenes. Sheriff Batten would like to thank Nicholls Police Chief Jamie Merritt and his department for their assistance and narcotics detection K9. He also thanks Alma PD Chief Andre Brinson and his department for their support in the operation. We would also like to thank the Bacon County Board of Commissioners for their support of our newly formed Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit. See more
