Triangular Fibrocartilage Complex (TFCC) tears can significantly compromise wrist mobility. Our office has some of the best technology using a minimally invasive surgical technique, Wrist Arthroscopy. The recovery time from a wrist arthroscopy will take approximately 12 weeks. Initially, the wrist is supported by a cast to prevent movement and further damage. The second phase of treatment focuses on rehabilitation to regain strength and stability.

The health and safety of our patients and employees have always been our highest priority. We are constantly monitoring CDC and US Government guidelines for best practices, and want to personally update you on steps our practice has taken to protect you and your health in light of the COVID-19 situation. Our teams are receiving ongoing briefings, training, and enhanced operating protocols as the COVID-19 situation evolves. Each of our locations is staffed with a team member a...t the entrances testing all staff and patients for symptoms, checking temperatures, and verifying any recent travel to known outbreak areas for Coronavirus. As medical treatment facilities who are already operating under the most stringent of health guidelines, we are taking even more extreme measures to keep patients and employees safe. We have increased the frequency of cleaning and have continued the use of hospital-grade disinfectant. Our rooms are being sanitized between each and every patient visit and staff is using medical sterilization procedures for themselves between patient contact as well. We are asking all patients and staff members to wash their hands and use hand sanitizer when entering the office and exam rooms. We have adapted our scheduling protocols in order to create an increased amount of buffer time between patients. We are asking that patients and family members especially wait in their vehicle to reduce the number of people in our waiting rooms. We ask that all patients with upper respiratory symptoms such as cough, fever, shortness of breath to please call and have your appointment canceled or where applicable, changed to a Telemedicine appointment. Ortho Sport & Spine Physicians would like to thank you for your support and the confidence you have in our practice. We will remain attentive to this situation and keep you updated on any changes with the practice. We are privileged to serve you and look forward to seeing you soon. Sincerely, Ortho Sport & Spine Physicians

Research in this area continues, and we don’t yet fully understand how pain and stress are related. However, if you’re experiencing chronic stress, it may very well be making your chronic pain worse.
